In India, people are less aware in usage of solar energy. Also, there are very few shops which sells solar equipments. So, people are not able to use such facilities which helps them to save energy and also money. There should be government shop at least in taluka level which sells solar equipments. Also, there should be least taxes on solar equipments so that people may encouraged to buy them.

I would first run this as a project, with clear measurable goals and accountability. There are many ways to accomplish the objectives. Get professionals (who do it today for MNC's, private and public sector) onboard who have passion to serve the nation. They will do it for the nation. Create a structure where people like us can come onboard and make some difference to the society. There is one Sridharan who does exactly this in Railway projects- imagine if you have 50 of them on the board!

Respected PM, Excess energy spending in India yearly is not giving data to media by BEE, or Union Ministry of Power. The facts should be known and our people will cooperate to minimize wastage of power and conserve electricity.

I would encourage people to use power saving led and CFL bulbs. Provide more fund for research in alternate energy especially for research about increasing the efficiency of solar cell. Encourage tie ups between researchers entrepreneurs and government. Encourage people to set up solar panels and go bar gas units. All the street light will be solar powered. All govt buildings will be powered by solar.

I would encourage local public transport in the way of railways which will save energy and reduce pollution. Every place should be connected through rail networks. The places where this may not be possible, I would encourage buses connected to every place. I would also strongly encourage vehicle pooling which would include two wheelers and routine carpooling. This may become a mission in which every person may provide lift to another person. The slogan for this may be "Each one, Carries one"
