Tesla motors is building a Giga factory to produce batteries for electric cars in large scale. The idea is cut down the overall production cost. We should look at setting up of Solar panel Gigafactory and a Gigafactory for batteries in India. Bring down the cost of Solar manufacturing and batteries which can be installed directly with Consumers. Government should do this in PPP mode. Will help in Green India + Make in India + Energy Conservation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigafactory

Promote the use of solar energy in office spaces and homes. Give subsidy and promote solar inverters over normal inverters. Give tax benefits to green buildings / homes / offices employing solar energy to cater to daytime cooling and lighting requirements.

India can save 30-40% of its electricity deficit by simple Conservation techniques: - Improving the efficiency of existing power plants (we are way behind international standards at the moment) - Decentralizing electricity generation to reduce long distance transmission losses And the cost of implementing these Efficiency Improvement Measures is MUCH LESS than that of setting up New Plants.

Our age old instruments at various places are at worst condition causing leakage of electricity. We must try to stop that immediately with this step we can save our existing energy. Age old instruments need immediate attention at various places, nobody cares for this. Why? It is our own property we must take care of it at fix intervals. Maintenance department in this section needs immediate action which can give immediate result.

Maximum numbers of street lights, Public places lights, Every possible step where I can change energy consumption over to solar energy. Solar energy is the best option to adopt all over the country , half of the consumption to be switch over this and remaining half should be as it is to avoid any type of emergency during rainy season or other faults. SOLAR ENERGY we are wasting it without knowing its importance. Why can't government start using it in maximum departments?

We have to save energy. Even many do not know when the "Energy conservation day" falls. Wide publicity should be given to celebrate it nation wide on Dec'14th. Children should be encouraged to conserve energy. They should be taught that the energy what we save today is the energy we save for the betterment of our future generation. Schools and colleges can be encouraged in planning program to spread the cause.

One thing is drive residentials to adopt solar energy; make solar energy mandatory source of power for outdoor lighting to all upcoming buildings/structures/offices/complexes/apartmentsetc... educate citizens about subsidies available for solar panels; provide list of companies that sell quality solar panels; make companies sell panels on e-commerce platforms like flipkart; advertise extensively in villages about solar energy; provide solar panels installation & maintenance steps;
