The report is available in Planning Commission website, " Integrated Energy Policy Document Aug 2006". Implementation has to improve still a lot. Solar energy is the best way. Cost is major hurdle. Subsidy is there, but banking sector should come forward with easy loan schemes. Off grid PV for rural areas & on grid PV for urban areas will work wonders. LED lights reduces more than 50% lighting load. Induction lights are also energy efficient and long lasting.First Install solar systems on Govt buildings. Solar pumping subsidy (40%) for farmers is not sufficient.
