I will switch of unnecessary lights and fixtures. I will try to influence and motivate others for energy conservation at home as well as work places. During festivals we can save power avoiding necessary illumination. During marriage season we sused to illuminate our houses for so many days, which is to be controlled. Energy conservation by way of saving water, fuel etc shall be our priority. Power Generation by using solar, wind power, hydro electricity to be given more incentives

I think government should install solar panels in all the open land of government available in the country. Government should give more subsidy to solar power consumer to encourage people and reduce installation charges. In gujarat I have seen solar street lights installed at many places like gardens, GIDC roads, street lights, etc. this should be done in others states also.

If I was the Govt. to make nation energy efficient I will introduce this scheme. Title - "Free power for 1 Year" This scheme which I envisaged is Govt. should introduce this scheme only for 1 or two years such that all the homes industries/organisations which accept to make use of solar energy by building such facility for there home or organisation for at least 50% of their uses should be awarded with rest 50% of free power for an year. Such scheme will increase use of solar energy

i would order malls, multiplexes, hotels to use renewable sources as their majorpower sources, because in big cities the consumption of electricity by malls are far greater then the consumption by houses.also i will use solar energy in power generation for road lights, and would suggest people to use at least one solar panel in their house

If i was Government, I would have encouraged the use of Natural Resources to Generate Electricity, i.e. by providing benefits to public in procurement of Solar Energy Generation Products, Since Solar Energy is Nonperishable like other sources used for generation of Power.

The biggest energy guzzler today is transportation. People going from home-to-office and office-to-home, people attending meetings etc. I have three suggestions in this regard 1. Government should encourage "Work from Home" concept for many industries (Software, Consulting, etc). 2. Face to Face meeting to be reduced and Video/Voice calls using Cisco-telepresence like products should be encouraged 3. Encourage home-delivery of items (rather than people travelling for shopping)

Mainly we should go for solar energy as much as can be utilized. All street lights and like this public current supply we ca get from solar energy. By some more initiatives also, we can provide this energy till commercial and domestic also. We are suffering by flood, but by a little effort, we can preserve those and get energy from those, not like that always depend on existing. Don't use coal to produce electricity, because coal is a very valuable resource.
