1. Using solar energy for street lighting. 2. Incentive should be given by government (municipal, state, central) to housing societies for implementing solar water-heating & lighting. 3. Incentive should also be given by government (municipal, state, central) to housing societies for implementing roof-top wind energy harvesting (roof-top vertical/horizontal axis windmills).

Following are my suggestions for energy conservation program: 1. Efficient, Reliable, Safe and Attractive Public Transport (ERSAPT): 2. Cycle usage (Meri Cycle): Subsidies and motivation on usage of cycle 3. Solar powered Trains: Solar panels on train roofs. 4. Waste Utilization (Kachara bachao):- A positive encouragement needs to be given to bio-methane gas production.Example of such programs in European cities https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9G6UnS7MGao

Many people in society think of solar power system for there self relience, but biggest hurdle is how to store power for night, baateries are too expensive and need lot of them, In my opinion GRID CONNECTED SOLAR SYSTEM is a good option, where people can connect there solar system to grid and feed excess electricity to grid during day when production by solar system is high (meter reverses) and use from grid during evening and night, continu....

our country is mainly dependent on thermal energy the coal is degrading day by day so concentrate on other sources like wave energy we have very long coast line, use solar and wind power .

1. Promote local manufacturers of equipments like LED bulbs. Changing inefficient technology with modern ones can yield as high as 8% energy efficiency. Further more there is possibilities for Job creation if local industries are promoted. 2. The next phase of efficiency can be achieved using automation. Large buildings and housing complexes can accommodate Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor and regulate energy usage.
