Mygov Task of suggesting a PPP model for making our cities garbage free has been made in d form of a presentation. Main theme of PPP model is proposed with 'waste to energy' plant using municipal solid waste as fuel. In a way, THIS PPP MODEL MAKES WEALTH OUT OF WASTE by generating precious electricity & in the process clears the waste in our big cities! This model truly symbolises the nation building since this PPP model of waste to energy plant is fuelled by every home....every one !

Cleaniless is a diaster in and around slums. People living in slum are uncountable and not recordable. So, a beyond the line bold step should be taken to eradicate slum. With new infra and houses for everyone. Employment, economic development and cleaniless can be tackled in one movement. New houses should be given to slum people with strick policies that they cannot be sold or rented and limiting the people entering Mumbai without a job or place to stay in Mumbai

City gets worst view during rainy season. So I think for every 5 kilometers a small water treatment plant should be constructed, which will receive water from kitchen usage from localities which otherwise gets wasted and also from new to be constructed drains and pipelines to collect water from monsoon street flooding and then the treated water can be redirected to the society for cleaning and sanitation. This will help not only to kept the environment clean but optimum water usage which is must

Waste collection should be partly privatised based on the regions like south east, south west etc. In the current scenario it is only the BMC in Mumbai responsible to garbage pickup and waste management. The Cleanest region should be weekly rewarded.

As an activist in Solid Waste Management (SWM) in Mumbai, I have also observed the same in developed countries. I advocate that nothing short of a transformation in SWM systems can change this city/country’s picture of dirt and garbage. Hence I propose ‘Agencification’ of SWM. This means that SWM should be given the priority it deserves and an independent agency appointed with the sole task of SWM. Our self-respect as a nation depends on how we manage our waste. Details follow.

Below are some immediate suggestions coming to my mind: a)Recycle/Reuse: based on PPP model, we can engage companies in waste management. The collected waste then can be segregated into categories like degradable, non-degradable etc. Much of the waste can be reused (sold) by the companies involved – e.g. plastic packs (like that of chips etc.) can be cleaned & resold to companies at cheaper price. b)Degradable waste can be transferred to local biogas stations to produce methane

Give preference and subsidy to Companies using garbage to produce energy.Garbage collection should be free of any charge.People hate to pay for garbage collection and hence avoid it.There should be monthly evaluation and comparison of cleanliness of various areas. The authorities of the area should be held accountable in case of slow implementation of projects. The licence of eateries which don't have proper methods of garbage collection should be cancelled.Specific area for vendors in each city

In North East Region of India, huge Govt subsidies to tune of thousand of crores are granted to Industries every year. Govt should make it mandatory on part of the Industries to spend a portion of the subsidies earned towards the cleanliness drives by adopting villages n cities in their State of operations.Massive awareness drive, providing dustbins, deputing sweepers, providing garbage bags, Fogging, portable toilets etc should be undertaken by Industries. "No Cleanliness - No Subsidy"
