Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) seeks entries for an innovative designing of a logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. The objective of this national campaign is to create awareness among the citizens of India for good practices and habits towards energy saving.
The last date of submission is 5th December, 2014.
The winning entries will be awarded cash prize as under:
1. First Prize - Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 15,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 10,000/-
There will be three prizes for third position and Rs 10,000/- will be awarded to each winner.

The Logo starts with a 3-way pin which facilitates the use of 3 main colours in Indian flag. It ends with a 2-way pin resembling to 'Y' in ENERGY. The presence of Ashok Chakras in the word 'Conservation' puts a thrust on tagline 24 hrs x 365 days, saying it is the responsibility of each of us . Thus the logo will remind us to conserve the energy when a pin will be inserted in a socket to make an electrical connection. The green colour of letters relates to the conservation of environment.
