Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) seeks entries for an innovative designing of a logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. The objective of this national campaign is to create awareness among the citizens of India for good practices and habits towards energy saving.

The last date of submission is 5th December, 2014.

The winning entries will be awarded cash prize as under:

1. First Prize - Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 15,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 10,000/-

There will be three prizes for third position and Rs 10,000/- will be awarded to each winner.

In this logo sign of power in black color is considered the 1st effort to conserve energy. as from a kid to aged person can conserve a lot by switching off unnecessary use. artwork of bulb shows means of energy & leaves are substitutes for protecting hands as well as for nature bcz conservation of energy is related to the conservation of nature too. this design of logo will appear best in any size, colors can be changed if required.

The logo tell us to use efficient appliances like LED to save the energy and sun indicate to use renewable energy also for utilisation of natural renewable energy.

The green bulb shows efficient energy (CFL, LED) 'S' for Save is written by coin to save money using efficient energy technology . A switch in red tell us to off the appliances if not in use, for sustainable development.

developing world need lot n lot of energy. we in india need enormous energy n demand is increasing each year. MOTTO is that ' ENERGY SAVED IS ENERGY CREATED' this logo clearly point out that even an ordinary person can serve nation by saving energy. also message is to promote people,to use more efficient n eco- friendly devices to save money n energy. govt. can also initiate this, for ex. govt. of himachal launched ' ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE SCHEME' distributing CFL lamps to all families in himachal

The Logo Consists of a Initials of word "Energy Conservation" E & C and the red colored image denotes the power off sign to conserve the energy, which finally gives the Brightness to the world the power off sign consists the initial letter 'C'
