Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) seeks entries for an innovative designing of a logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. The objective of this national campaign is to create awareness among the citizens of India for good practices and habits towards energy saving.
The last date of submission is 5th December, 2014.
The winning entries will be awarded cash prize as under:
1. First Prize - Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 15,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 10,000/-
There will be three prizes for third position and Rs 10,000/- will be awarded to each winner.

This logo has a bulb and plug together in
such a way that gives us a message of Save
Energy by growing more plants. Growing plants
save us from the external uses of energy like
providing us shelter in summers, heat in winters
and fresh air in morning. So grow plants and Save the energy for Future.

The logo is inspired from the ancient symbol for the water pitcher used by the Mohanjo Daro civilization. The pitcher itself is conveying the message of containing and conserving the water for later use, which can be interpreted as sustainable use of energy in every day life. The idea behind picking this symbol as the base is to reconnect to our original roots.

The logo depicts our Earth. The motto is "Think Globally,Act Locally",that is "to think" in a global perspective and "to act " from our own home. The hands show that it is the responsibility of everyone to conserve the resources and must join our hands to make it a better place.
