Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) seeks entries for an innovative designing of a logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation. The objective of this national campaign is to create awareness among the citizens of India for good practices and habits towards energy saving.
The last date of submission is 5th December, 2014.
The winning entries will be awarded cash prize as under:
1. First Prize - Rs. 25,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 15,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 10,000/-
There will be three prizes for third position and Rs 10,000/- will be awarded to each winner.

The selection of colours palette is derived from the Indian Tri-colour symbolizing unity, peace and prosperity. The symbolic light bulb between the hands emphasizes the fact that conservation of energy is in the hands of humanity. The leaved patterns of the hand represent life itself. The texture of orange and brown might very well resemble the Royal Indian beast whose population is now on decline as a direct result of deforestation resulting from non-conservation of energy.

Description of Logo for National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation
We should not lead any harm to mother earth by our lifestyle. The logo depicts that we can save energy in our daily life by switching off lights when not in use, using transportation mode like bicycle and public transport, using CFLs and reusing plastic bags. Our resources are limited and we should use them sustainably.
(We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.

Logo Description:
1. (Green ) Circular Arrow - Represents 3 R’s, ‘Reduce’, ‘Reuse’ and ‘Recycle’.
2. (Blue) The Design: Sun with Energy Symbol - Represents ‘Use of Solar Energy’.
3. (Orange) People - Represents importance of 'Individual Responsibility' in conservation of Energy.
4.(Yellow) Glowing Bulb - Represents ‘Taking initiative for a better cause’.

This is my logo for Energy Conservation. In this logo I tried to depict the use of energy. It should be used how much required. The concept of the logo is 1. The yellow portion represents the energy, compared with sun or light. 2. Green is for conservation. 3. Blue is for preserve. We should use how much we required and remaining will store future, the cool blue colour will keep it fresh.
