The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

This is proposed logo for Digital India. And, the tagline for DIGITAL INDIA: "Let's Lead" A brief note: The 'D' shaped border colour depicts that the sky is the limit. The 'i' portrays the people of India, equipped with knowledge, eagerly moving ahead. The black RECTANGLE indicates a sign of DEGREE i.e. SKILLS acquired and the WHITE portion displays the power of KNOWLEDGE. So, come on India - Let's Lead - the world, of course.

Globe represents global impact of India in IT sector/ digital world. It also represents one of the binary digit '0' zero. Saffron colour represents 'D' for digital. Central green colour represents binary digit '1', i for india, i for information and also dipects human shape for citizen centric development. Tagline represents discovery of zero by india and now excelling in digital world.

Binary coding is use in whole map to show digitalization of india.and peoples are used to show empowerment of people by digitalization.

One of the India's greatest technological achievement is our " Aryabhatta satellite " . So , I took that as inspiration to design the logo.
