The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

Green Volunteer Model for Zero Waste Mahotsav To make the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela a Zero Waste Mahotsav, local school and college students can be engaged as Green Volunteers. They will guide devotees on waste segregation, promote the use of eco-friendly materials and help keep the mela premises clean. Separate bins for wet and dry waste should be installed throughout the mela. Flower offerings and food waste can be collected for composting. QR codes can provide information on waste disposal points and facilities. Students who successfully complete their volunteer service may receive appreciation certificates through MyGov or the District Administration. This will encourage youth participation while promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility and the spirit of “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Good morning sir, Read the news of xpress credit loan fraud in Sbi,Odissa .To avoid these kinds fraud we can recommend a system that we should have entity digi locker system and from that banks have to pull the data like employees id and salary slips and form 16.With the authentication otp of that concern employee..Some what it will mitigate the risk..and one more thing..if companies or govt departments issue the salary slip with the photo of the employee bankers need not obtain id proof from that company or Govt departments. thanks and regards D VINAYAGA MOORTHY

The Sacred Milk Decentralization Grid: During Mahashivratri, massive quantities of milk are offered. Install heavy-duty, stainless-steel filtration channels directly beneath the Jalhari (drainage outlet of the Shivaling). This diverted, clean, high-volume milk runoff can be safely collected in refrigerated containers and sent directly to local gaushalas (cow shelters) for cattle feeding or used in stray animal welfare feeds.

The District Administration of Baghpat is gathering actionable ideas to transform the upcoming Shravani Mahashivratri Mela at the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Temple into a "Zero Waste Mahotsav" under the theme "Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi". Citizens and organizations can submit proposals on the MyGov India Platform. Temple Waste Upcycling: Establish an in-situ composting unit or collaborate with local Gaushalas (cowsheds) to convert massive amounts of leftover food, milk offerings, and floral waste into organic manure. Flower & Coconut Byproducts: Partner with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to process discarded flowers into natural incense (agarbatti) and flower colors, while repurposing coconut husks for fuel or composting Utensil & Jute Banks: Prohibit plastic carry bags at entry points. Dear Sir,Since many frauds are happening in loans my suggestion is for 1.Cibil should be enquired upon otp sharing from customer. 2.The id proof address proof and other documents required for loan should be fetched from aadhar app/digi locker and those documents must be kept in that bank's loan software only..particularly for personal loans..
