The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

Subject: Regarding Pradhan Mantri/ Mukhiya Mantri Jan Awas Yojana in Uttarakhand. Respect sir, I am Man Mohan Singh Rawat, Deputy Commandant CISF ( Retired). I belong to District Chamoli Garhwal, Uttarakhand and presently residing in New Delhi with my family. Sir, nowadays I have noticed that purchasing 1/2/3 BHK flats in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Haldwani, Ranikhet, and other cities in Uttarakhand has become very difficult for a common man as most of the Builders are constructing luxury flat/ Apartments for sale costing not less than 80-90 lakhs for 1 BHK flat. Therefore, it has become very difficult for a common man to purchase flats in these cities. I have noticed that flats under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Awas Yojana are very cheap and within the reach of the common man. Similarly, Mukhya Mantri Jan Awas Yojana launched by Chief minister Rajasthan at Jaipur is also within the reach of the common man. In view of the ab

Respected sir, Pujas and festivals are an integral part of India but we have to look at how to make these experiences sustainable and zero waste . Here are my suggestions 1. Bhakta should be encouraged to bring their own bags and stalls should not sell items in plastics that congest the environment. 2. Prasad should be served by hand and rainfall recycled water can be used for washing hands 3.Provision of safe drinking water so that plastic bottles are not bought and discarded there 4. An independent stand for agarbatti so a single one can be given to a person and littering in reduced 5. Prepared puja thalis should be plastic free

Sir as India do not encroach the land of other countries, now we have to change this policy and start expanding our borders after Nepal claims lipulekh a village of Uttarakhand along with other villages as land of Nepal which India did not encroached in recent time and it is the issue since 1947, so India should give a strong reply to Balen Shah and declare it as India’s land, as balen shah is doing wrong things to India with the help of china instead focusing on making good relations with India. Also Indian government should include the 8 villages of Bangladesh into India as these are Hindu villages and those Hindus never consider themselves as part of Bangladesh, so include them in Indian territory and then do the fencing and also expand the chicken neck by encroaching the rangpur division into India and settle all Bangladeshi Hindus in that area. Also take pok back into Kashmir. Now India will expand its borders else other countries will think of encroaching our lands. Regards

Om Namah Shivay🙏🏻1.make a pond in north area of the mandir. 2.plant belpatra,flowers and other plant around the pond.... 3.put some fishes in the pond.also plant durwa grass across the pond area and the mandir walking area both sidea.... 4.DJ and fire crakers not allowed. 5.for jal draining make sure its must in the made pond. 6.people must allowed timing wise..give them token of alloted time and then they can worahip. 7.at one time allow 125 people to enter the mandir parisar.
