The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

Whenever we think of drone , our mind blows up when we see such an wonder that just four machenical wings which just carry a mchine body have reached the heights of goverment policy. Thing which just small children and all play have now are been starting to be used by the mighty government. Whatever is invented it shows us a trial , if it passes we keep it and if it fails than we can't keep it in our home . Thus if improvements are not done , government would not keep them . I hope for the best.

When we talk about the drone their distance and height measures also necessary while we are forming draft rules. Government should fix height and distance limit for flying drones. Population should also kept in mind. In case of any violation of people's right or any complaint government should take a footage of it. Government should ensure that drones in india cannot used by private people for spying activities.

While using drones there is possibility of violation of people's right to privacy. Drone flies in sky and a person cannot do anything if there is violation of his/her rights. So make an authority so that people can complaint regarding their violation of right to privacy. Government should make provisions to take copy of footage in any such condition. Drones may also used for spying activities, so there use in india should be limited, in populated areas entry of drones prohibited.

Government should have universal control of every drone operated in india so that in case of any odd situation government should take control of particular drone in its hands. Use of drone is increasing in india so for national security and non-violation of people's rights by using this technology government should have control on each drone can operated in india.

Every drone should be registered with Govt. and there should be a mechanism to be developed to identify which drone is flying in the air, a unique id with radio tag should be given to a drone so as to track it when it is active in the air. Real-time drone capturing technology should be developed.
