छात्र वित्तीय सहायता की कई योजनाएं केन्द्र और राज्य स्तरों पर कार्यान्वित की जा रही हैं। क्या वे वास्तव में अभिप्रेत उद्देश्य को पूरा कर सकती हैं? कुछ गंभीर विचार, विद्यमान योजनाओं पर आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं और हमारे छात्रों के लिए वित्तीय सहयोग प्रणाली की गुणवत्ता में कैसे परिवर्तन आएगा ताकि प्रत्येक इच्छुक छात्र उच्चतर शिक्षा में प्रवेश ले सके।

Very less load is also harmful .Under the RTE, schools have been directed not to fail any student up to class VIII. A system of continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE) has been introduced. Many students are taking it easy, particularly in rural areas and in lower strata of the society in urban areas, where poor and illiterate parents are not in a position to pay proper attention towards the study of their wards.

Only it is the excessive curricular load that is playing the villain in the education drama which needs to be reduced substantially to allow the child breathing time. Reduce at least 30% of load in schools (50% in language) as a balancing act up to 12th class and you will find a remarkable change.

The teacher can't teach such huge load in due time. They can’t complete the syllabus by taking all students equally with them. They are human beings . Except a few selfish and greedy, they are also helpless due to excessive load. We are unnecessarily blaming them. The student can't learn by brain such huge load for which he is compelled to learn by rote. He is over loaded to such an extent that many times we come across news of suicide by students due to stress.

Social human values are created in a tender age of school going students. Seeds of social human values can’t be ingrained during adulthood when the students try to fetch livelihood or enter the job market. As soon as he enters the job market, he tries to exist there through competitions and as such has no time for recreation and regeneration of social values. The student does not get opportunity to develop social values due to excessive load in study.

What is then the relevance of such high sounding growth story of NDA or UPA? There is growth in the country, but all benefits are cornered by the corporate houses, businessmen, builders, persons pursuing education and health business and bureaucrats, babus along with people engaged in anti-corruption bodies.

Degeneration of social value is inversely proportional to economic growth rate. When rate of economic growth is faster, decline in social value becomes faster. People become crazy for achievement of goal by any means. Most of the cases of growth story reveal that those who grew faster and disproportionately, they grew by looting the society or national wealth.

Children are great learners from the moment they are born. What sustaining student support systems require therefore is: Easy to access & low cost learning centers; connectivity to other learners, learning communities and learning resources; counselling on issues, and motivation for the road ahead. All this has to be done within a “fun” atmosphere, and with sufficient “rewards” to be a successful initiative. Every little achievement has to be celebrated. And the movement will take off!
