The child goes to school, from there to coaching classes one after another, and at the end comes back to home and stays logged on to websites whose names the parents have never seen or heard. The boy seems terribly unhappy if he is not allowed to glue to internet. The parents are worried but they do not know how to sort-out the problem of the mouse-brat in the house.

We come across a number of families whose kids have started looking and behaving like adults, who are behaving like irresponsible adult so to say. The beautiful innocence on their face is on the wane. He throws tantrums, hurls his dinner plates, something which he had never done earlier .

The problem is complicated. Most parents do not know the details of what their kids do. And that is where we have failed to envisage the future of our children. Going by what is happening in our society, we can infer safely that w e have only a vague idea of what needs to be done.

Our young men and women are proud of knowing the extras in SRK films but they do not know who Captain Bikram Batra was and what he did during Kargil war. And this has happened because we have made our education bereft of all patriotic elements that empower us with an innate sense of pride in things Indian and humane. WE HAVE STOPPED THINKING FOR OUR SOCIETY ALL TOGETHER AND BECAME SELFISH CITIZENS PAR EXCELLENCE.

We have to rejuvenate our future generations by instilling patriotic feelings of civilisational existence. We should not brandish the tricolour in our cheeks and T-shirts and roam the streets on Republic or Independence day waving huge flags without giving some time to think about the soldiers there at icy dangerous mountains standing for weeks.

There is need to evaluate performance of teachers. Schools performing poorly should not be allowed grant-in- aid. The main reason for social degradation is that we have stopped altogether the process of socio-cultural rejuvenation through education. Our education is in a shambles, a massive mess in which everybody looks only to the West such as Western style of teaching, western universities and their infrastructure, FDI in education, western clothes, western songs and western junk food

There is a problem of getting quality teachers . Most of the teachers are appointed not on merit, but on other consideration. Teaching is no longer seen as a mission to create future citizens and make the nation strong. It has become another profession to earn money. Since there is no system to evaluate the performance of teachers, many of them don't bother to attend schools regularly, and instead undertake side business of farming, insurance agency, and taking tuition classes etc.

The emphasis is given in completing the syllabus, rather than taking along all the students in the school. More often than not, proper attention is paid only to a chosen few bright students and the average student is left to learn on his own because he is unable to keep pace with brilliant students.

findings of a survey conducted by PRATHAM, NGO that over 50% of rural students can't really solve problems relating to simple arithmetic indicate abject failure of all experiments undertaken by government in educational fields. Shockingly the number of class-V students who were able to read class-two text in 2010, has also declined to 46.8% in 2012.This is a sad indicator to the steady decline in quality.
