http://ndmindia.nic.in/NPDM-101209.pdf

There is an urgent need to make set up like 911 as available in US and other developed country. By providing such setup we will be well equipped to deal with Disaster. The service should control Police, Fire, Ambulance and Disaster Relief team. The Disaster Relief team should be provided with Paramedics and Doctors. We must give boost up for Paramedics and separate stream should be developed so that immediate relief can be provided till the services are available.

Sir, In Badrinath sector (Alaknanda Valley) landslides cause major disasters. One of reason for bad roads is landslides, and other main reason is the activities of BRO. The lack technical and geological expertise. If government works on PPP mode, good roads can be constructed and tourism can promoted. Large number of tourist avoid travelling in hilly region due to bad roads and landslides.

Sir landslides are a major disaster which occurs in western ghats and subhimalayan areas .An initiative can be launched to plant more trees in the area to prevent them.In the case of floods silt in rivers is a cause.Silt removal can be done in summers well in advance before the advent of monsoon rains.

Helicopters (Useful in every terrain, for example Uttrakhand disaster) and Boats (Useful in flood , for example in J&K flood, Surat etc.) are very useful tools in disaster rescue operation. So govt should Mandate every District of India ( in primary stage, later every Taluka) should Have Min 1 Helicopters, and 10 Boats, Helicopters should be use for public transport, medical services in other times, or charted flight for generating revenue. govt should promote manufacturing of it.

Dear PM, Listing of all Occupations/Trades/Professions of the Indian citizens and link them with Aadhar database for proper management of Human Resource of the Nation. This will help a lot during any kind of disastrous management. Any way we have the aadhar database now in system, Linking this information with it wont be a difficulty task. Hope this might help in future administration also. Kishore Otturu

Illiteracy, poverty and multiple languages (spoken and under stood) are few key limitations India is facing in improving national resilience. Absent community’s participation due to their limitation has made Government fully responsible in national resilience mission unlike western world. It is something like how a weaker family member is supported by other member who is more capable in a joint family, Government Would need to extend more support the community (which a weaker family member).
