Varanasi has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. In the next phase, Varanasi has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities.
Citizens and stakeholders of Varanasi are requested to post their views and suggestions on the Smart Vision Statement for Varanasi to be developed as Smart City. The solutions, suggestions & views should reflect the Vision of the City.
Vision:

“To revive the Glory of Varanasi by conserving and promoting its heritage and protecting its cultural and traditional environs to boost tourism and employment, provide quality urban services, accountable governance to enhance the quality of life of citizen”

main focus should be given to the development for the city varanasi not to the creation of varanasi a smart city ! smart city to ek bahana hai main funda to development ka hai so development should be given ! dustbins and toilets for men and women must be made within the limits of 500-600 meters so that the main thing that vis hygiene should be maintained !
