During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Hon'ble P.M. Modijee to tackle problem of drug addict criminals first we have to make stern our Public Servant. i.e Police because I have lodge a complaint in kurla police on apprehension of selling charas ganjas by the licencee police has protected the ciminal to be punished nor any investigation has been carried by police. So for stern action agaist police the protective umbrella u/s.197 of CrPC must be amended The best way is our police machinery to be honest in discharging official duty.

Experience from any part of the world will show that making anything illegal only drives it underground. Enlightened societies make everything legal and regulated. Please do not take the emotional step of banning and creating for red tape. This only gives rise to corruption and encourage anti social elements to take control of its distribution. We have to have liberal laws and early education to create a healthy society.

Respected P.M. of India many students of our country also addicted with drugs. Only Parents and Teachers can control the minds of the students. I think awareness of Parents and Teachers can stop the drug addiction of Students. So Govt. must take a step to increase the awareness against drugs through T.V., Face book, P.M. Speech, Radio, News paper etc.
