During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Please consider legalising Hemp/Marijuana which is not a narcotic like other drugs (it is in fact less harmful than tobacco). The plant is of great economic value (the first cloth was made from the fibres, eco-friendly plastics can be made from it, seeds have high quality protein and oil is valuable too), grows abundantly and improves soil quality. If declassified as a drug, one can focus on serious drugs like cocaine. Placing it in same class makes it difficult for youngsters to differentiate

In continuation of my earlier posts, the sale of liquor and commonly used medicinal drugs may be demotivated by high level of taxing. Also, the medicinal drugs may not be sold outside the government medical store. Smuggling of products like ganja, heroin, cocane may be made non-bailable crime. some times political leaders and police are involved with this drug circle. A strong step is required against the supplier of drugs and such anti-nationals without their political affinity.

DRUG IS THE LAST STAGE OF ADDICTION OF OUR YOUTH. WE MUST STOP THEM RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. THEY START BY TAKING LIQUOR IN THE BARS WHICH HAVE BEEN LIBERALLY OPENED IN DELHI AGAINST THE CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION SECTION 47. THIS IS ROOT AND BEGINNING OF ADDICTION. DEAR MODIJI WE HAVE FAITH AND TRUST IN YOU THAT YOU SAHLL CANCELL ALL BAR LICENSES IN DELHI AND OTHER PLACES TO SAVE OUR YOUTH FROM NASHABANDI MENACE.

Sir, it is also important to propogate on all medias the health problems caused due to drug usage, also ban bollywood & hollywood movies and other such medias that directly or indirectly promote drug usge. moreover drug menace is connected with Rape, Sexual assualt, Molestation, etc, etc. the search operations should start from the public garbage bins, red light areas, etc. Police dept should be the key to find this. Sazaa nahi to crime badega, laato ke bhoot baatoo se nahi manenge.

if our family life is comfortable to certain extent we can reduce the drug alochlocal and tobacco .when people are frustrated they look for other means of getting relaxed. instead of cruing the addiction we should cure the reasons for additiction.if you cultivate habit of love patience mental strength within our family and socieity we can escape from the bad evils.Distract the attention towards these menance and chanlise the energy towards productive things.

4. Every healthy person who maintains a healthy life style, free from all substance abuses, a healthy BMI (Body Mass Index) and can easily run 5KM should be given a Tax Rebate. 5. People should be encouraged to form support groups for anti-tobacco, Anti-drugs forums and participate in encouraging quitting these habits. All it takes is first 72 hours to quit any bad habit. 6. Children should be encouraged to do Yoga, Suryanamaskar and engage in outdoor sports to wean them away from TV

Mainly the unemployed youths and those who could not go to school and those who are toiling without anything to do, they become prey to the drug peddlers. The Govt should deal with the drug peddlers with IRON HAND who are smuggling drugs into the country through airport, seaport.crossing the border from neighboring countries and identify the ideal youths and large scale employment schemes with skill development has to be implemented on the ground level with sincerity &mass awareness initiated.
