During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Drug Menace- Problem & solution :- Causes-Puzzled & confused young minds,undue pressure,tensions of materialistic life style,frustration out of failures,Ignorance and lack of administrative measures. How to tackle & which institutions can help? 1- Family-Due love&affection to children but no undue advantage.Children should not be abused & insulted for their failures&weaknesses by the parents but should be an approach to praise & encourage their achievements.Heart to heart talk between parents&ch

I am in favor to completely ban tobacco and other drugs product in India. Or if complete ban is not possible then at least awareness camps can be organized to spread maximum knowledge at early stage. New strict legal anti drugs rules can be formulated for collages and schools. Actually people specially in rural areas are not aware of the side effects of taking drugs, Spreading knowledge can be a good solution. Jai Hind

First of all the people who are dealing with drugs should be highly penalize by the fast track courts .drug dealing should be non bailable offense . Secondly every school should arrange one hour special class every month with the cooperation of NGOs who are dealing with anti drug movements to educate the students regarding the bad effect of drugs .

Drug problem should be tackled by 3 pillars of society. 1. Law and order officers which includes more aware and less corrupt police, very quick arrest and conviction of drug cartels members and sellers 2. Education: Schools and colleges can easliy have drug wing where children are taught to save themselves and those in it can get immediate counselling. Home where parents are given small cards to help them understand if their children are on drugs and help them.

In my opinion, govt should work from the ground level i.e they should impose some rules so that any kind of drug should b out of the reach from the youngster. Nothing is going to happen if govt will restrict the selling of loose cigarettes. This will only give rise to black marketing & people will pay more in order to get that. In order to get rid of drug menace, govt should impose some strict rules in the ground level. Because every drug addiction starts from a fag of cigarette.

Without participation of police drugs can not spread in India.So firstly govt should raided all police and politician houses .Govt will get big success to control drugs.International Boarders should be sealed properly.
