During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

There are 2 important points here and if you can focus on these two we can prevent at least 50% of the persons/students whoever attracting to drugs.. 1.give counselling to the PARENTS first...because most of the parents don't know what their children really are doing in their daily life. 2.in schools/colleges also at least once in a week counselling should be done to students and also medical tests on a regular basis so that if anyone taking drugs will be detected at an early stage!!

Special team from Vigilance, state CID, Exise and Police must be drwan and shall be put under CM&CS directly. This cell shall have only one duty that they will be on constant vigil, inspections, field assignments, plain clothes duty in each&every vulnerable points in every habitation with one lakh population. CS and CM must take stock of situation every week. If selling points are brought down to minimum then consumption and consumers will drastically come down. Must sattf this cell adequately

Nothing will happen with awareness program. we need to create Very strong LAW / ACT who circulate DRUGS to young generation. May be our Police know who are they , but due to LAW they can not do anything...

Let us first put an end to extralegal LPH trade run by the excise department government of Rajasthan.Next v need to end the age old traditional method of securing Opium glue from poppy buds. Further more v may totally end licit opium cultivation in India.

Drug abuse is rampant among all sections. Main ly 2types. Chemicaland traditional. The third is party kind. Mostly users make this part of entertainment. Make mandatory that every customer buying stuff like cough syrups, etc kind of multi use drugs must enter address details (do not insist any identity or prescription) in register that medical shop owner by law shall keep. Allow only medical shops 2 sell this and 4 this also registering customer details every time they buy mandatory.

Target group of Drug addiction is mainly young stars .To tackle this problem we should aware parents and teacher so that they can detect at early stage & create awareness among their children from age of 9-10 years about drugs & its bed impacts to him,his family ,society & world.This is for next generation. But for presently effected peoples , we should promote more rehabilitation center in every city & town.Every city should have Special cell of police to control drug mafia & their networks.

There are Multiple things that can be taken 1. Tremendously increasing the price of such stuff (200 Rs per pack of cigarette, banning sale of single stick similarly for liquor) 2. Enabling cops on toll naka's with detection equipment, and heavy taxing for each person who is found guilty of drunk driving. Similarly the cops should be given "good cut" for such people. 3. random check on the night-clubs. 4. Show more of oral cancer ads especially in colleges 5. Educate in 10th standard kids.

Sir, Tobacco & liquor usage are becoming most common in these days. Without any barring, it is spread over all category like from schools, colleges, families and work places. In most of the cases, use of tobacco and liquor is passed on as a hereditary habit too. banning or implementing new rules will not serve the purpose.rather, engage the potential for national cause like SWACH BHARATH and plan for dual benefit for our country. rather to penalise with punishment involve them in social work.

Drug menace is more observed in youth in isolation and likely to be due to more nuclear families as well. Stress, competetion, jealousness, identity crisis need to be tackle carefully by proper counseling. Parents also need to be devoting quality time to their children.
