As depicted in Punjab, even the law enforcement agencies and BSF are involved in drug trafficking and hence 73% of Punjab youth are drug addicts. At the Centre level i.e at RAW/IB level, agents serving as moles in the various suspected trafficking groups should be installed for swifter crackdown.Drug is not a state problem and hence should be handled at centralized level. A way to reach these touts/businessmen are participation in Rave Parties through online invites.Crackdown on touts and regular screening of red light areas should be done. Hotels found indulging in drup trades should have their licensed cancelled to serve as deterrent and other businesses should also come under ED Scanner for people found guilty. Also destruction of procurred drugs should not be managed by a few Anti-narcotics professionals. Every destruction should have a video recording entry with the file.

Tackling Drug Menace needs to be divided into two areas:Domestic - Can be started immediately; International- Needs foreign Support.
Problem can be solved using Reduction in Supply, banning of precursor chemicals and Enforcement of Anti-drug laws. Reduction in Supply should be done by eradication of Marijuana, Ganja, opium, Cannabis crop cultivation. Alternate crop cultivation support should be provided by Government to sustain ensure that farmers do not lose their livelihood.

Saving the state from drugs is not an easy task. But on long term basis the government can easily do one thing for a.drug seller who is in the distal end of the chain can easily be tracked with evidence. If so tue trail and punishment must be done with in two months and the minimum year of imprisonment must be 20 years and the conict must give chance to go for appeal but on bail.Other wise he must reveal the root of the business even for bail. And if one higher grade is tangeled he must be sente

What can be done in a state as vulnerable as Punjab? Where the deputy CM sniffs drug? There are villages mostly in the borders who are made addicts so that they are wooed before elections . Have we wondered why the marshal race of the Sardars are not coming forward for armed forces? One plausible reason is the drugs have made them physically unfit. Yes, awareness is there and parents along with the youth in Punjab are trying hard to fight against the menace. But it needs regular monitoring team

I think I big issue that we face is the implementation of law. the fear of law still seems missing with the criminals. Can we sight examples of drug lords who have been convicted and punished ??? make these an example and like the world says lead by example... let the world at large know if you deal in drugs in India this is what happens and it has happened in the past....
