During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

A short movies or drama should be prepared and played in higher secondary school and collages, mentioning the worse medical and social effect of the drugs. Government should minimize the plantation of the such plant and any lethargy noticed in the action of govt. officials for regulation of drug law should be strictly punished. Stop the corruption in this field.

One more most important suggestion about entertainment time of only two hours in a day i.e., from 7.00 PM to 9.00 PM is with regard to opening of liquor shops and bars etc. The more the entertainment is, the lesser the allowed time should be. How shameful it is to see the liquor shops kept open from morning 7.00 AM to 12.00 midnight. To compensate the bar owners they may be allowed to have as many seats as they want in the bars. The people may be allowed to take liquor freely between 7.00 PM to

The drug menace is increasing day by day at least I can say of my state Pb.all the high UPS seems to be involved in this racket.most of the medicine shops supply without any action against them.one solution is to pass a law banning supply of medicines without the prescription of a qualified doctor as in other countries.only routine drugs be as counter sale.stringent action be taken against the defaulters whosoever he may be.this will reduce most of the problem.

Drug menace spread via cinema, televison and internet brousing.Parents patronage and their involvement is lacking. Many traditional values are not in practice and they want to live as they like and possessiveness of parents adds fuel.Childrens are to be watched carefully till they mature,in practice it is not so.Where the drug come from? What is the responsibilities of the Narcotis Department and Law enforcing authorities. There is a price for every crime and the cost effctively distributedWHOBELCAT

Policy should be framed for controlling the consumption of drugs and tobacco especially in youth. Nowadays youth is getting attracted towards drugs and tobacco so, legal control is required by restricting its consumption.
