During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

I think an awarenesd is required to be created among youngster through nukkad natak, awareness campaign, print or electronic media,etc. Students should organize such campaigns and create awareness in their institution with the help of the faculty and governing bodies. V need to be aware of the facts

To prevent youngsters from drug abuse, first we need to understand how they get used to of drugs. youngsters have the delusion that smoking is the part of new lifestyle so they use it as status symbol. Another reason is peer pressure, if they will not smoke , they will be mock at. Every body knows that smoking is harmful but they are still doing. So we need to make them aware that smoking is not part of new life style and make them strong enough to tackle peer pressure.

महोदय ड्रग के लिये सबसे ज्यादा जिम्मेदार छोटे दुकानदार या रिटेलर हैं जो अपने फायदे के लिये खाशकर छात्रों को ड्रग उपलब्ध कराते हैं जिस ड्रग की कीमत १० से१५ रु० होती है उसके १०० से १५० रु० तक वसूले जाते हैं छात्र ड्रग के लिये कुछ भी दर गुजरते हैं पैरेंट्स कुछ भी नहीं कर पाते हैं स्थानीय प्रशासन को पता होने के बावजूद प्रभावी कार्यवाही नहीं की जाती है ड्रग माफिया बेखौफ अपना काम करता रहता है रिटेलर पर सखती जरूरी है लाइसेंस जब्त व सजा होना आवश्यक है

It seems a large drug racket is working in delhi and punjab and enforcement directorate is fully aware of it. Our Government has to quickly crack down this racket in a determined manner. Special task force should be set up as the local policemen are part of the racket and they would not be able to do justice. Americans have shown so much strictness that the problem is quite under control and the involved persons once arrested find it very difficult to get our. Dr. Umakant Srivastava

government should start a program where children are given tour in good hospitals, where hospital authorities give presentation on drug abuse, HIV, tobacco and smoking hazards they latter can show live example of how the patients life has got affected due to it. meeting and talking with patients is 1 important scenario.

it is duty of seniors n a great responsibilty to see wat their juniors are doing and if found guilty then we all have to care for them i think best seniors can lead the race in all places
