There are six components of wellness: proper weight and diet, proper exercise, breaking the smoking habit, control of alcohol, stress management and periodic exams.
~Kenneth H. Cooper
So,parents need to make nutrition education a priority in their home environment for good health and longevity to instill in children sound eating habits from an early age as diet is a bank account. Good food choices are good investments for good mind, body & soul in order to prevent usage of toxins/intoxicants.

We have the set up of Anti Narcotics Department in India But they have very few opertional If you observe the cases of seizings of drugs & the quantity the people are getting. Only Tobaco & Guthkha is banned but not the drugs as they are getting in all the cities. Out narcotics department should be strengthened & work honestly in this direction. A special tv commercials also needs to be highlighted. There are so many vyasan mukti kendra in India we should also involve them in this drive

1. The roots start from higher secondary-school and colleges, as at this age only, youth indulge in these activities. So, Smoking/Tobaco or liquior should not be available inside a range of 3km from any school.
2. The selling of cigarette packet should be done with a proper record which must contain the Voter I.D Proof of every buyer, suggesting that only ADULTS have access to these things.
Sir, there also must be a check that these things are not sold in govt. owned premises itself.

Drug addiction is a dangerous symtom nowadays . Regular campaining through all regional languages. We are observing the lac of family bonding & lac of loving atmosphere in most of the family . My suggestion to all the family members to create a loving atmosphare in their respective family because home is always sweet place for mental peace & harmony. Charity begins at home.

Respected Sir, Namasthe. This happened to my son. He was studying in MES school Olavakkode in Palakkad. He got the habit of chewing banned HANZ in packet from nearby small shop which is just 3/4 km away from school. They give this to the known persons only. Also he knows Ganja available in Puduppalli Theruvu in Palakkad town. He got this information from a user who calls one ali or somebody in town. And this Ali informed that fellow to dont save his mobile number in his mobile and also delete.

Sir, drug issue prevails here in US as well. And I think awareness campaign with better policing and tight borders will reduce this menace to some extent. Experts needs to be roped in by govt to work with severely addicted people for rehabilitation. People are finding new alternatives to get high - iodex, petrol, other local herbs like ganja etc. Local traffickers must be caught and punished to cut the supply chain.

1. Families should imbibe human values
2. Incorporate chapter on harmful effects of drugs in the CBSE school curriculum
3. The political class, bureaucrats and NGOs should commit themselves wholeheartedly to curb drug addiction, easy availability of drugs and demolish drug dens
4. An idle mind is a Devil’s workshop. Youths should be engaged into healthy activities. Sports & games are one of them
5. Implement skill-based activities in drug affected areas
6. Compassion care patience is needed

When a child starts using drugs...the first to know is his friends. So volunteers should be encouraged among school childrens to inform concerned authorities. Privacy of d volunteers should be maintained for their security n they should be rewarded for their job.
