During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

From my perspective, a youth is attracted towards the drugs to get something extra/additional from life; if we have programs and places were the youth can spend his/her energies, I think, we would be able to manage this menace to a large extent. I also feel making military training mandatory would also help in channelizing the energies in the right direction.

please save this jpg file and read carefully in this file content advice/suggestion/idea/soultion for stop usage of drugs.. meri baat sunna isliye bhi jaruri hai kyuki mein 22saal ka ek yuva hoon... aur yeh sab cheez mein apne dosto ko karte dekhta hoon..

Here are mu suggestions : (a) There is a need of a help centre by GOV/NGO where the parents of affected child can report for a rehab (b) Police will have info about the drug maffia. Police should be given free hand to act against them (c) Sensitize the bad effect in social media where youngstars are active (d) If there are medical tests to detect rug abouse, they should be mandetory for employement (e) Monitor the outcome of these initiatives centrally and take corrective actions

i think complete ban will attract the people towards drug and they will try to taste / intake it more. Prices of such commodities should make to be sky touching so that even if common teenager want to have it, he can't have it because of high prices.

Deeshaheenata,weak or bad friendcrle and indiscipline seem to be the main causes for drug addiction. for mess in some walks of national life,` Discipline everywhere `is the wayout.Military training to students and youngsters to startwith with regular medical checkups may give good results 1953and onwards that time N.C.C. in schools and colleges had shown miracles in mindset of the youth. But the N.C.C. now,in whatever name it be, has lost the purpose .Mere tick marks can not give results .

Voice of inner soul a great idea to reach all but common people of India.Drug menace:International war on young India:defeat at highest level,the supply,distribution needs to be destroyed with zero tolerance.Create environment for young to pursue goals,discipline in their life by introducing new services such as military training,nation building schemes& curriculum on social evils.Medical management is small problem but to prevent this is biggest challenge lies in policy maker & rule of law.

Drug menace is of course the most dreaded problem but it is the route cause of Government's other liberalization, globalization and desire to get integrated with world. In the process moral, ethical values are bound to go down along with economic standards. It happened in the past, the same is witnessed now.

produced. With in 6 months things will start improving. One thing more any person violating the rule whether retailers/ wholesalers/ formulating company or bulk drug company should be put behind bar and licence be cancelled for whole life not for him but for his/ her spouse and other close family members

Formulation companies will give complete batch wise details of material used to same govt agency along with list of people whom they have sold. Pharma wholesalers and retails even other wise keep full record of such drugs.If at some places this is not in practice, instructions can be issued through state drug authorities for keeping full record. Advantage the whole information will be available at one single govt agency. Extra raw material will not be produced so large quantities will not be

agency will sell it to those pharmaceutical formulation companies who got permission for the manufacturing. I would rather say permission to formulate such medicine should also be restricted to few no of companies and that permission should be granted from same govt agency which collects and distributes the raw material. By a mere staff of 15-20 people and space of 5000 square ft we can manage the whole affair. the cost of operations can be met by taking profit on distribution.
