During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Dear sir ban the gutkha,cigarette,tobbaco products and alcohol products finally leads to the drug usage. sir turn the students and youth mind into devotional side in the schools, colleges and temples..etc

sir durgs health ke liye to hanekark to hai par sir kya aaj durgs par agar pabandi lag de gaye to kya hamare pass durgs jase gande cheg ki leye koi kanoon hai agar nahi hai to kya hamlog durgs jayse gande chej ke liye kanoon bana sakte hai jisme durgs bachane wale ko fasi ho jis tarh aur sab desh me kanoon hai use tarh hamare desh me bhi bara katohr kannon ho

Youth especially from villages and small towns get attracted towards drugs easily because they do not have much activities to put their energies and attention into therefore it should be made sure that some basic sporting facilities are provided along with some training in yoga so that their energies can be channeled into the right direction this can help in curbing the drug menace and also help the nation to raise some sporting talent.

Drug Abuse, A--Use/handling of drugs should be delared unvailable punishment B—Person caught should be interogated for tracing the channel of supply and reaching to source C—In each district there should be system of complaint lodging (on line/phone) and conclusion there after D—this will also help to control terrorism and black money gradually

Though it is pretended to be the duty of every citizen to save himself and the youths from getting trapped in drug addiction, which ruins one’s health, finances, families and society; it is precisely the duty and responsibility of the government to ensure strict legislation 1. For monopolistic control on production, processing and appropriate use and 2. For prompt arrest and tough consequence against all those who involve in production, distribution in public and advertise or promote drug use

All such things are somewhere interconnected with financial gains, India need to single out all corrupt having fake PAN Card, should have mechanism to vigil account for suspicious financial transactions. Other corrective measures are include the drug related issues in curriculum at the right age for student, role plays etc. There are several laws in country, however student/people to be aware of these laws, law awareness will deter them to involve in such things.

Mission against Drug addiction may be achieved by 1) Stop of domestic production and smuggling from abroad as well systematically 2) Be generous and sympathetic to drug addicts as the root cause for such a state of minds is the society it self 3) Drug addicts are reportedly only one quarter million in the country ; Allocate budget for treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts 4) Spread stories of drug addicts to school/college students to take lesson 5) Award those drug addicts who came out.
