In schools, social services projects should be mandatory every month;students must visit NGOs so they can meet such drug addicts to see the future of drug addiction.A national toll free number should be provided. On which help by Counselor,Name and Address of treatment centers, rehabilitation centers etc.must be provided. For alcoholic person’s jail should not be the punishment because it will turn them into criminals, for them punishment must be social service.Like work for 2 hours daily in an NGO

In Khar- Santacruz West, in Mumbai right next to Bloomingdale School, where a lane has been occupied by slums and there is a lot of drug peddling that happens from there. This has been going on for years; right within an elite suburb, in midst of a school ditsrict. Most local people avoid this lane, the occupants there are almost like a local mafia. Yet, there is no police action or police vigil there. Why? The residents of this lane are also involved in rag picking, scrap sales and thefts.

PM should stress on self discipline as the effective tool to extricate large number of youth falling prey to drugs.PM should tell people & bring a legislation to make drug peddling /distribution a non- bailable offense. This will instill fear &deter those engaged in this heinous and nefarious activity. PM should tell I&B Ministry to bring advertisement similar to tobacco chewing & smoking.to spread ill effects of drugs in all film shows in theaters / TV channels.Policing is not an answer.

Respected sir, I think that in spite of searching the solution to the problem we should think why this problem has arrived?why our youth is going towards drugs.I think the reasons may be failure in carrer, loneliness, not getting properly attended by someone etc.A youth can overcome all this problems if he or she is morally strong.Nowadays morality is just blocked in books, youth is just thinking about himself not about society, parents and other concerned.we should make them good human being.

What I find in all these sort of programmes only allopathy is thought of. I have personnel experience of some of the alternate systems like Homoeopathy , Tibetian and
ayurveda. If not anything they provide better life comfort. The various medical boards can be asked to offer their system efficacy and Government take an holistic approach.

Government should start call centre to stop crime (crime stoppers help line in australia) where the complainer don't need to give his/her identity and police suppose to take action when they receive any complaint. Everyone knows the drug mafias but they are afraid for giving identity because police are also involved with drug mafia. A big drug racket is not possible without police's support. But people are not giving information because police does more inquiry of complainer instead of mafias.
