Make some incident videos that would show that people in various parts of city died because of taking drugs in various forms and it should include college students and cool people who show off and these videos should seem real and should be shown on every news channel and should be published in every news paper, most of the people would be afraid of taking it after seeing it and it should be very viral and the incidents should seem real.

The incidence of drug abuse among children is higher than the general population. The obvious reasons are curiosity, depression etc.A survey revealed that 64 % of patients coming in for treatment were introduced to drugs at a age below 18 years. In India there are no proper education/sensitization programs for children about drug abuse in schools and for children outside schools. There are very few healthcare units in rural areas to deal with these issues.

Sir, I have a personal experience to recount. A local (Spanish) lady friend was addicted to smoking, tried to give up but could not succeed. I told her how is that you as a person is dictated by this 2"stuff. Your freedom, your liberty, your glory can´t be enslaved to this useless thing. After few months she told me that she has definately given up smoking. I think emphasising on the corelation of any addiction and loss of personal liberty could be a very powerful tool in fighting this menace.

-In our understanding institution responsible for arresting drug menace in India are in fact promoting drugs in the country. If this is not the case than, it would not had happen that supply and addiction kept increasing with the passage of time-Anti drug institution efforts to arrest drug addiction through media awareness are in fact drugs promotional act in a manner that they are in-affecting restricting supply and use within the country-Total black out discussing drug could be the solutin.

Sir,rural sports clubs should be promoted with incentives. Secondly, police officers giving good result against this menance should be protected from political rulers.Thirdly ,all the government privileges given to a common citizen be withdrawn from habtiual drug offenders.

Sir As far my perception is concerned, the recent upsurge of drug menace in Punjab is the handiwork of our beloved neighbor As far as internal measures are concerned, death penalty for drug trafficking. We in India have the nasty habit of dragging everything into politics. This should be stopped.Democracy doesn't mean saying anything ,it is saying with responsibility.if anyone whoever he/she may be utters against national interest should be strictly dealt with I needs a holistic approach..

Mann Ki Baat: Tackling the drug menace in India
The Drugs menace poses a great security threat to the Nation. Drug addicts could easily be allured into terrorism or enforced into terrorist sleeper cells by international terrorist organisation to carry disruptive activities across nations. Even a country like United States is struggling with drug abuse. Aaround 12 million people in US are affected by drug abuse. And it costs US hundreds of billions of dollars in increased health care costs, crime and lost productivity.
Few steps may help.
1.Create a strong intelligence network dedicated to Drug abuse to keep a track to identify potential users and peddlers
2.Enhance public awareness thru public and private electronic media, movie halls, schools and colleges.
3.Spread out counselling centres in cities and villages.
4.Engage panchayats / gram sabhas for preventive measures.
5.Surprise checking and testing for Drugs of Abuse in areas where probability is maximum.

Sir, drugs, alcohol and tobacco is weakening our youth. They get carried away and resort to drugs and alcohol. Modi ji and all govt ministers shud advocate and plead to the youth to keep away from these things. Mass scale competitions shud be held to promote health and body building and massive advertising campaign utilizing the film stars shud be taken up to educate the people and make them aware of the bad effects of the drugs and alcohol. Films shud not have alcohol and drugs scenes. Regards

Strict Action against politicians, civilian and army officials who in anyway are linked with the drug trade, irrespective of their political allegiance. Giving youth of India a lesson discipline and sense towards society by introducing mandatory army service etc. from an early age.Organisations like RSS can also play a role. Providing lot of functioing sports, technology and multi activity centres at the village/ ward levels which can engage and provide support to youth.
