During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

I think in my point of view and experience its going to be a dangerous situation in handling this drug mafia. Our india is enrich of young vibrant peoples(60%) and this will lead india towards next century. But drug addiction starts in his/her 12to 14 age make him useless in 21 to 24 age. So we should coordinate all authorities and create a new movement call "Say No To Drugs". This program should not belongs to 1 day or 1 week it will active on all days an year.

Sir agar puri tarique se aap is zeher ki supply ko band nahi ker sakte hai toh her shahar mein 2 exclusive restaurants ko hi is zeher ki supply ki permit digiye. Aur in restaurants ko online active karva ker her ek person jo wahan jata hai uski entry karvaye, aadhar card ke bina koi allow hi na ho. Aur online entry ki wajah se per month 3 se jyada bar ane hi nahi diya jaye. Aur jaise KYC bharvaya jata hai, waise KYLC (Know your Liquor Consumption) restaurant wale bhar ker de us bande ko de.

Say no to any type of drugs mein apko kuch kade kadam uthane honge jaise ki Saudi Arabia jaisi countries mein hai. Yakin maniye yeh bahut kada kadam hoga aur apko iska virodh bhi sehna padega per sirf muthi bhar virodhiyon se jyada apko support milega.

(2) Parents, teachers and friends who form first-line guides don't care much about goings on or desist taking corrective steps fearing loosing them altogether. When later they take a turn from honorable existence to animalistic, heartless, numb, brutal ones, due drug-induced behaviors, they get shocked. "Stitch in time saves nine". People advise to plug paths to drug-peddlers; Yes-needed& immediate circle of potential ( or beginner) drug-abuser must ACT fast & Govt. must subsidize counseling.

The way to create an exemplified society: 1. Engage every individual- man, woman and child in tasks that lead to a social conscience. 2. Our educational institutions are where we need to have a tight grip by increasing vigilance with the help of a connected parental network and security personnel who are accountable. 3. Encourage a quality of living among the unemployed youth by granting them loans to set up office for small businesses and appoint a mentor from corporates to guide them through.

(1) What I put down here , might shock some. Many youngsters do not want to exert at all to excel in accepted ways; with all modern distractions like, internet, 'that damned instrument ever-present' in their hands = mobile-phones, urge to escape at any cost from pressures of studies/work, easy money given at times by parents ( they can go to any extent incl. stealing from own kith & kin, or, extremes of killing them) / short-cuts to hailed Heavenly moments thro' alcohol & drugs. It is very bad

Sirji, Part 1/5 : BAD COMPANY/INFLUENCE & IDLE MIND (DEVIL’S MIND) - ARE OPEN INVITATION TO DRUG MENACE :- Several reasons have been attributed to ‘Drug Menace’ which are all no doubt valid, but in my view, more than the root cause of the problem, this Drug menace problem thrives mainly on account OF BAD COMPANY & IDLING MIND OF OUR YOUTH – WHICH WE SHOULD ADDRESS ! We all know, ONE ROTTEN MANGO CAN SPOIL THE REST OF THE GOOD MANGOES IN A BASKET, & AN IDLE MIND IS A DEVIL'S MIND.

Part 2/5 : PARENTS / WARDENS TO KEEP A CHECK ON BAD COMPANY OF THEIR WARD :- So, we need to take care & uproot both these BLACK SPOTS from the social life of our youth. While Parents are responsible & should take care of the Ist Black spot - i.e. BAD COMPANY OF ONE'S WARD. It does not mean, we should be after our kids like a hawk…..but a little bit of watch, homely counseling & sane advice can avoid bad company, which can otherwise, spoil the young minds of our youth !
