During the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio programme, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared that a large number of people have been talking to him about the increase in usage of drugs. The Prime Minister described this as a very serious issue and assured that he will talk about the menace during the next ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

The Open Forums invites you to talk about the menace of drugs. Share how you feel this menace can be mitigated, what steps can be taken to get youngsters out of this. You can share anecdotes – how you saved children from this menace of drugs or if you have had a personal experience. NGOs working in this sphere should contribute. Your contribution would be a major step in freeing India from the menace of drugs.

Salam Modiji, Could you please look into the percentage profit of consumer goods? Devise a law to fix ration of cost to profit. Some time the % profit is as high as 400-500%. Which l;aw of the ;land permits them to do so? E.g: A gillete refill blade cost about Rs18 but its material cost may not be even Re1. Add technology cost, overheads, taxes etc say will be Rs 5. The why Rs 18-20/- Check such looting of multinational Co. by proper legislation. Thanks.

Sir Bad things atracts much. The most imporatant and longterm solution for this is controlling mind. and best solution is MEDITATION. We must have compulsion of mediation in schools and colleges. this would ensure a large number of the next genration to be away from this. One add which is shown before every movie in mumbai for Guthaka and Tambaku is very effective. same we have use media to touch emotional point of individauls for giving up drugs. Radio, TV, Print media can be used.

Sir, let's also talk here about smoking, . In our country, according to a weblink, there are 15051 police stations, fine for smoking is 200. If every police station fines 10 persons for smoking at public places, every month total income total income per month will be 15051*2000*30=900900000 Rs. Which the states can use for various productive purposes. But The police is not active, rather the policemen themselves smoke.

Sir main reason of drug addiction is its so easy to buy illegal drugs because we dont have proper laws for it.So sir please do ban the ganja, charas, afeem. Before it just raise the price of these drugs 300%- 400% more. So atleast 30% of people will stop doing this.

See to that no one newly gets addicted further. For those who already are victims bring all to one place AND through powerful discourses of spiritual being.Propogate"Bodily desires, thoughts and addictions bring suffering, pain in life and are also hindrance to spiritual wellbeing". THIS A THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD CONCEPT WHICH OUR COUNTRY HAS PRODUCED THROUGH BUDDHA, VIVEKANANDA BUT THOROUGHLY IGNORED BY OUR YOUTH OF TODAY WHICH HAS TAKEN THE TOLL THAT OUR ENERGIES ARE WASTED TREMENDROUSLY.
