As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Sir, I think liquor is the main reason for most of the women related crimes in India. liquor ban should be the first step of government to stop these crimes , otherwise no one can imagine the condition of women, specially village women, in upcoming few years.

Pradhan mantri Awaas Yojana is a very good step for poor and homeless people. But most of the baggers are not even aware of this scheme. And those who know this scheme, are not able to complete the formalities for this. So they are deprived from this scheme. I think government should identify those people and help them to get the home. This humanitarian work will make gandhi ji's soul happy.

I think all the indians should know the basics of Indian Constitution , atleast their fundamental rights and duties . This can be done only by the politicians. Our ministers should include these things in their speeches, , so that poor people can use them to make their life easy. I think this will make gandhi ji's soul more happy.

Free eye check up in government hospitals for all senior citizens in India and free cataract surgery for them. If possible government may provide the same size of glasses Gandhiji wearing at that time.
