Ministry of Electronics and IT has drafted a Data Centre policy to benefit the Data Centre park developers/Data Centre operators as well as the allied ecosystem of the Data Centre sector. The policy envisages making India a Global Data Centre hub, promote investment in the sector, propel digital economy growth, enable provisioning of trusted hosting infrastructure to fulfill the growing demand of the country and facilitate state of the art service delivery to citizens. This document lays out a policy framework including various structural / regulatory interventions, investment promotion in the sector, possible Incentivization mechanisms along with the institutional mechanism required for the governance. The policy framework also seeks to strengthen the recently announced “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiative by identifying possible opportunities of manufacturing of Data Centre equipment (IT as well as non-IT) in the country. It also identifies possible areas of participation by MSMEs and Start-ups.

The policy intends to ensure sustainable and trusted Data Centre capacity within the country. This policy framework shall be followed by a detailed scheme with implementation guideline document providing the particulars of various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to be provided to the sector by the Central and State Government.

For the same, Ministry of Electronics and IT invites citizen suggestions on the Draft Data Center Policy 2020.

SIR, GOOD EVENING, IT AN SUGGESTION THAT THE PLACE WHICH IS PROVIDED BY GOVERNMENTS TO COMPANIES AFTER BUILDING AN CENTER IF WE PUT SOLAR PANEL IN TARRCE OF THE EVERY BUILDING THEN WE CAN USE THE ENERGY IN MID-NIGHT IF IT IS WORKING 24*7 WHICH WILL REDUCE THE ELECTRICITY COST OF MAINTAINANCE OF SECURITY AND SOME SMALL ACTIVITY WE CAN DO. THIS WILL RECYCLE IN MORNING AND IN MID-NIGHT CONSUMED. THANKS.

1. Allow existing office spaces full or partial to be converted as Data Centers. 2. Have Green coefficient for Data centers and measure and incentivize. 3. Enact appropriate law that if Data from data center is breached because of individual's mis conduct he or she can be punished. Use this as an effective marketing tool to attract foreign companies to setup data centers here. 4. Frame guidelines for PSU and Government departments to migrate their IT infra to Cloud

As per my opinion Government should encourage public to file their Income Tax Returns , by giving them incentives or other benefits so that number of filers can be increased . 2. Govt should focus on to curb the Cash Transactions which are still concealed by the various assesses. 3. Medium class person are the highest number in tax payers , they should be rewarded for consistent filing of tax returns .

My various suggestions 1.Genetally in IT companies we have data classification internal/external or private/public as per my knowledge. They have policies to share the data 2.Here we can do we will not do all into digital document. Since digital document is global I believe. Some hard copies. Some soft copies can keep.Hard copies photo restriction etc . Probably can think off. 3.Putting to access restriction policy mechanisms -need to elaborate 4.Thinking separate servers within ourselves
