In an endeavour to address the inadequacies of capacity constraints and improve its modal share in total freight eco system of the country, Indian Railways has come up with Draft National Rail Plan.

A draft of long term strategic plan called the National Rail Plan has been developed to plan infrastructural capacity enhancement along with strategies to increase modal share of the Railways. The National Rail Plan will be a common platform for all future infrastructural, business and financial planning of the Railways. This plan is being circulated among various Ministries for their views now. Railways aim to finalise the Final plan by January 2021.

On one hand NHRCL is going ahead with 7 HSR projects and NRP proposes many such projects aimed to be completed in 2050. Semi high speed project in kerala have already completed its DPR. The NRP deadlines for electrification and doubling in many stretches are unrealistic. The 130-160 Kmph upgrade in golden quadrilateral and its diagonals may be extended to other major lines like konkan where design speed is already 160.The average speed of trains may be increased in all sections

Every citizen, politician, public officer must pay the full fare without any exemption. Railway is the national property hence no body should get exemption from paying the fare of the train. It should be taken as the nation building act.

नयी रेलवे लाइन १. भरतपुर - काँमा - पलवल रेलवे लाइन यथाशीघ्र बिछाई जाए। २. ग्वालियर - बयाना - खेडली - पहाडी - पलवल रेलवे लाइन यथाशीघ्र बिछाई जाए। ३. डीग - काँमा - पहाडी - तिजारा - रेवाड़ी रेलवे लाइन यथाशीघ्र बिछाई जाए। ४. गंगापुर - बांदीकुई - अलवर - भिवाडी - दिल्ली रेलमार्ग का निर्माण किया जाए। ५. धौलपुर - करौली - टौंक - अजमेर रेल लाइन यथाशीघ्र बिछाई जाए।
