To curtail pollution and to solve the problem of traffic I feel public transport and two wheeler commute must be promoted. Better public transport is matter of long term planning and investment. To promote two wheeler commute, on the existing roads a separate Lane can be provided where four wheelers and big vehicles should not be allowed.
This measure will give sense of safety among the two wheeler commuters. Also If their movement will be smoother more people will prefer to use two wheeler.

My idea can change indian traffic system and pollution also.car companies manufacture cars and sell them but it is their responsibilty to look after the pollution generated by vehicles but this is to done by gov.even more cars create traffic problem.so car manufacturing should look after traffic problems and even pollution generated by the cars they sell.this ploicy or rule will make private companies to involve in the public problems..afterall this prblms are created by vehicles they sell to pp
