it's more about bringing a mass behavioral change as government's initiatives can only wrk if people are willng to accept and act .
1 checking carbon emissions from cars, strict watch on automobile manufacturing units.
2 increase green cover which can be best done by joint initiative of govt. with all schools and environmental activists in the area. ( one tree ,one child, one day)
3 a person orfamily with more than 1car should be allowed to have only 1(petrol or deisel) and rest CNG.

1. Help promote cycling all over India. Cycling tracks need to be made. Youngsters are motivated, they just need the platform.
2. Ask the companies to provide transport system (buses) to the employees. Tell the companies to tie up and do it jointly. This will help in huge drop in cars for going offices. Govt. buses are not much used because of their routes, and other inconvenience.

All we need is 'proper waste management '.
Most of Indian household waste contains biodegradable kitchen waste (which can be used to make manure). So instead of incerenating or landfilling, this waste segregation can reduce pollution to greater extend.
Stress should be laid on public transport to ensure healthy environment. Separate lanes for cycle should be made.

1> Make WATER HARVESTING compulsory for every Commercial & Multistorey residential buildings.
2> Make it mandatory for every Commercial and Multistorey buildings to meet the 20% to 40% (decided by experts after proper calculations) of their electricity need through solar energy, by installing Solar Panels.
3> Making all public transport electricity powered, especially those which are run by Government.
4> Changing all the diesel-run government vehicles to CNG or BIO-FUEL.
5> Ban polybags.

1) Ban all diesel and LPG running autorickshaws in city, only allow CNG running autorickshaws
2) Start app based radio taxi service in city like uber
3) Try even-odd formula in chandigarh also
4) Start campaign #selfiewithcycle to encourage mass people participation in use of cycle

In my views,i think govt.should promote use of bicycle for the locals
Wheather they are office workers or the education getting student.
If possible there should be subsidy on bycycle
So that everyone can buy a bycycle..
THere should be restriction for the noisee vehicals..
