Sh Narendra Modi PM and Vijay Dev Adviser of the Chandigarh is "icing on the cake". We are fortunate that our suggestions are sought and included in the decision making. My suggestions for pollution free Chandigarh.
1.Provide different colour dustbins for segregated MSW in whole Chandigarh as per density of
crowed and area.
2.MC to ensure no garbage burning by staff/public
3.Stop corruption in CPCC in norm following for polluting Industry
4.Neat and clean public toilets free for all.

For pollution control the most important step is to create "awareness amongst citizens"
1.In India, people throw "Nirmalya" in water thinking that it is bio-degradable.This has been 1 of the major causes of water pollution. Proper disposal of this "Nirmalya" has to be done by govt.
2.City transport should be improved and attractive offers should be given to attract commuters for using it.
3.Promote recycling of waste. Use German model for Garbage disposal.
4.Strict laws should be brought in.

I think that because of more industries in gujrat therenis lot of pollution so the industries wastes instead of burning or letting them flowing in rivers the waste should be colletced and dumped at places where there is less human beings for example:extreme north and south of state where the population is very low

Ask companies to add the cost of paper packing material into product itself and make strong paper packing material so that product doesn't get wasted

An environment cess of 2 % of the original On Road price of the car should be levied on all Diesel cars and included in the annual insurance renewal premium. This will be applicable to all new and old cars and go a long way in discouraging the public in buying diesel cars. This can be extended to the whole country.
