With challenges of rapid urbanisation ahead and the promise to conserve the green heritage of “City Beautiful”, Chandigarh Administration is always committed to create a clean and healthy environment for its resident, commuters & tourists. Eco-friendly & sustainable technologies will be focus of city under “Smart City Mission”.

As per the “Rank of Cities on Sanitation 2009-2010” Report (issued by Ministry of Urban Development, GoI) Chandigarh emerged as the cleanest city in India, with a rating of 73.48 points followed by Mysore in the second place with 70.65 points. However the Administration still strives for more better & effective solutions on sanitation and cleanliness which should come directly from its residents. The citizen consultation will give an important insight of the requirements& aspirations of the residents for Sanitation & Cleanliness Plan of Chandigarh.

So, the Chandigarh Administration hereby invites ideas, views, opinion and suggestions from the residents so that the objective of “Smart Sanitation & Cleanliness Solutions” could be achieved.

a app should me made in which users can click photos of dirty surroundings. the app should stamp the location and time on the photo. the photo is immediatly shared with central server and the server pin points location based on stamp on photo. This way the organisation responsible for cleanliness can be pin pointed and action taken

Why don't you think of implementing waste management industries which produce energy from the waste. Many countries like sweden, singapore etc. are following it.it is also a good source for revenue and can also help in protecting the environment.

Sir, The "Swachh bharath abhiyan" has a great impact on many of the educated individuals, many of us want to follow it seriously. But the major problem lies with the municipality, when u expect us to follow certain rules then u should also follow certain standards. Please ensure that every city/town has at least one dustbin for every 300 mts. Deploy some marshals for every street who ensure the cleanliness in the city.

4Rs, i.e. Reuse, reduce, reproduce and recycle is the key for cleanliness of any habitation (both rural and urban) including Chandigarh. This is only possible with the involvement of community (with special focus on scavengers) and the government. Manufacturers and producers of all kind of consumables should be made part n parcel of city cleanliness and waste management programme. Pre-management study of city waste is a must for successful and sustainable implementation of a cleanliness project.

Sir, the city of MUMBAI faces a lot of drainage problems especially during the monsoon season. The drainage gets blocked due to the extensive use of plastic and polythene bags. Water clogging on railway tracks lead to the discontinuity of trains. It also serves as a breeding ground for pathogens. The beauty of the area also gets exhausted. Its my sincere request to u on the behalf of every citizen of Mumbai to look into the matter as soon as possible and solve our miseries. JAY HIND!
