I think to make hubli-Dharwad a smart city - Making governance citizen-friendly and cost effective - increasing rely on online services to bring about accountability and transparecy, especially using mobile s to reduce cost of service without having to go to municipal office.

I am an outsider, from a different state. Its been only a couple of months that I'm here in Hubli and I find this place very fascinating. I see the potential of this city & it can grow in no time. The people are industrious and the city seems lucky having an industrious population.
What I suggest about the city is the construction of roads. Once I was just stuck in the market while heavy rain because the road was floded. Put a light over this issue and the Sanitation system.

When we think of smart city first thing comes in our mind is, the cleanliness. So people must be educated in order to maintain the cleanliness of the city. There should be 24/7 water supply and power supply.

We all know that Health is Wealth! So, the first step towards being a smart city should be abput cleanliness. By keeping the city clean, not only will the common public gain out of it but it would in turn attract many other companies and so on.. The investment of these companies would rather facilitate in helping the city become a smart one! Schemes like Swach Bharat Abhiyan should be promoted with utmost importance. As one truly said, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness!"

Improving the infrastructure of the city.Solar vehicles should be provided due to the heavy pollution. Making of flyover for heavy goods vehicles and also there shold be metro train between Hubli and Dharwad. Should provide underpass or overhead pass to cross the roads. To provide good parking complex and usage of eco-friendly vehicles in the city.

Swatch bharath abhiyan should be properly followed in hubballi and dharwad..... both twin cities must be maintained clwanly. This can happen only if people are educated to know what is write and wrong....

as population is increasing day by day so is the needs of people. in many areas of Hubli Drinkable water is a luxury . Hubli don't deserve to be called as a smart city until and unless it fulfills the needs of its citizen. so to make Hubli a smart city the basic needs of people should be taken into consideration .
