from the past 4 years due to widening of the hubli-dharwad highway a number of trees have cut down leading to the increase of our city's temperature and also causing droughts. so i think govt should also think about maintaining a green and a clean environment in and around the city. And also they should not concentrate about the highway roads, smaller areas in hubli-dwd has pathetic road conditions which are must and should be improved asap.

1.Looking at the garbage dumped in the city it’s huge; we need to manage this plastic waste. This plastic waste can be converted to polyblend then mixed with bitumen and can be laid on road which in turn improves the quality of road and also proper use of waste plastic. 2.Controlling pollution is very important in our city, In order to reduce pollution the hubli dharwad buses can switch from diesel to CNG. 3.Separating biodegradable and non biodegradable waste has to be done from the home.

I feel that proper water and sanitation are the basic needs and the government has to look into this issue. Also I strongly feel that installation of dustbins that are resistant to all kind of climatic conditions and physical stress should be done. Also the on road development pprojects should be completed at the earliset. These are the basic things that have to be made as there is more to come in the future

cont.... I propose an app be developed wherein people can post their complaints and queries that shall be addressed by the concerned department and if is not looked into within a certain amount of time shall be moved to a higher authority who can take a proper action. Thus, making it easier for us to reach the concerned authorities and getting answer to their queries, as in this case the problem related to roads.

A strong base is necessary to build a smart city up on. Hubli-Dharwad is taking a leap towards this by providing its people with 24 hour water supply for which underground pipes were put in, to do which the roads had to be dug, leading to a preposterous state of the roads, no effort is being put in by the officials to look into this problem. As every individual now a days owns a smart phone I propose an app be developed wherein people can post their complaints and queries that (cont........)

Appreciate if all department (Administration, Accounts, P.W.D Office, Health & Medical , Revenue, IT , Electrical , Town Planning, Law, and Water can clear their pending work, which is critical , only then the journey in building smart city can be possible. Probably Zone wise Superior can track this and make it happen, an quality index should be in place to measure the each wards performance and should be published on HDMC web page to the public to make it transparent.

hence impacting the revenues leakage to manage their individual wards (so we not sure where the money is going now at certain degree). Without sufficient funds, it is difficult to manage and contribute to smart city project, mission could be impossible!!! Continued…3

With profound gratitude, I would like to thank the efforts of HDMC Commissioner and his team in bagging this wonderful Smart city project, not an easy task though, truly appreciate it. Each Ward plays key role, it should start from the corporation employees (some), whose efficiency is tied to self centric and self growth at the movement, lack selfless service to the society, an deficient in their performance in accomplishing their set expectations in timely manner. We should plant at least 50000 trees around the city. The most strategic location could be all roads which are leaving twin cities. In-city plantation will not serve purpose in long run.Trees will be cut in very short duration within city for some or the other construction work. Hence planting trees across all roads going out of the city could be strategically good option. As i said if we plant 50000 trees around twin cities, the raised temperature can be brought down within 2 years.
