Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart City” Challenge Stage-2 by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation was constituted in the year 1962 by combining two cities separated by a distance of 20 kilometers. This was a unique experiment in urban development history. The area of this Corporation is 202.3sq.kms, spread over 45 revenue villages. The population of the city as per the 1991 Census was 7 lakhs. The present population is nearly more than 9.43 lakhs. Under the Government of India Act of 1850, the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal council was established on August 15, 1855.

Documentation digitalization at HDMC is primary requirement. If this cannot be done since good number of years of computerization at HDMC, what else will be smart ? Having provided sufficient documentation over e_mails to HDMC to self assessment property tax matters - if correction cannot be done for months - because e-mails are not read at all. How smartness will come. Smartness is in attitude, way of working and not a "TAG"

1.All shops should be digitalised. 2.Schools and colleges must be provided with internet facilities with Wifi. 3.All ambulance vehicles should be provided with GPS and maps of their respective areas.

1.we want 24*7 water supply and electricity. 2.each and every street should have garbage vehicle . 3.each and every area should have street lights.

Primarily Stop that Bullshit Gutukha cheats available in the pan shops can't bare the smell n makes the City look Red at every cornor... Provide some space for Bendre Buses so that to avoid traffic in the Service Lanes.....

Smart city me last 10 year se prmostion nhi ho ri hai, Tears logo k liye rain basera ka prbhand krna chahiye, Bugurg logo k liye rehne k liye acha prbhand I na chahiye, Woman sefty k liye bttr hona chahiye , Sad sfayi honi chahiye, DC colony me sad safayi ki kami hai, Sport complexes me coaches hone chahiye, Sports , education , health three things should be must, Govt hospital ki medical sevao k liye ek alag se card bnna chahiye, Night me police security bdani chahiye, ldkio k liyeh
