The main objective of the smart city proposal is to promote and transform the existing cities with core infrastructure and Tourism Gateway development to give decent quality of life to its citizens in a clean and sustainable environment by application of 'smart' solutions.

Unlike a conventional scheme for development, this Smart city proposal is organized as a national wide competition among 100 cities by the Government of India. In the first level, 20 cities shall be shortlisted and taken up for further development in to smart cities. The remaining cities shall again compete to get selected in the next level.

1.more greenery 2.pay and use public toilets at every bus stands, markets etc 3.roaming and grazing of pets at public places which make the place dirty 4.boost up entertainment system like cinema halls, malls, food courts, branded showrooms

Buildings that use smart devices to monitor conditions like energy use, water use, air quality and heat can capture data that building managers can use to make better decisions about managing resources.

Use of such technologies can improve information and service delivery, encourage community participation in governance, and make government more transparent and accountable.

Very importantly, eGovernance in public services NEED to be improved for avoiding unwanted delays and time consumptions in providing urgent public services like Birth Certificate, Ration Cards with redressal system.
