The main objective of the smart city proposal is to promote and transform the existing cities with core infrastructure and Tourism Gateway development to give decent quality of life to its citizens in a clean and sustainable environment by application of 'smart' solutions.

Unlike a conventional scheme for development, this Smart city proposal is organized as a national wide competition among 100 cities by the Government of India. In the first level, 20 cities shall be shortlisted and taken up for further development in to smart cities. The remaining cities shall again compete to get selected in the next level.

Roads are blocked at most of the times and therefore width of roads should be increased. A solution to this problem is to construct some high rise buildings to include market complexes in them to avoid traffic congestion.

Smart city required smart people .if people r not smart then this project will not be any use .there fore we can teaching our people to get smart. & to improve people thinking capacity to arranged programmes.

Quality of road construction should be ensured by putting stringent conditions in tenders like maintenance of roads for a minimum period of five years.

Reduce duplication of efforts. When smart city efforts are confined to departmental silos, functions are needlessly repeated. This unnecessary duplication may be avoided
