The main objective of the smart city proposal is to promote and transform the existing cities with core infrastructure and Tourism Gateway development to give decent quality of life to its citizens in a clean and sustainable environment by application of 'smart' solutions.

Unlike a conventional scheme for development, this Smart city proposal is organized as a national wide competition among 100 cities by the Government of India. In the first level, 20 cities shall be shortlisted and taken up for further development in to smart cities. The remaining cities shall again compete to get selected in the next level.

Have to manintain Electric grids, gas distribution systems, water distribution systems, public and private transportation systems, commercial buildings, hospitals, these form the backbone of the city’s efficiency,

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner.

(1)Many WiFi connections must be provided. (2)Roads must be improved. (3)Power supply must be 24*7. (4)Old Davangere must be cleaned. (5)We need flyovers (6)Underground drainage must be improved.
