The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Modi Saheb i would like to suggest very one good innovative idea. when people dont pay any govt tax than govt takes all neccasry action to recover that. i think it should be other way also if govt doenst perform than they have to refund the tax. like any perticular area roads are not good or any other problem so the tax of those people staying has to be refunded.

The best method for skill development is first develop the skill in skill distributors.... i.e Teachers... I am not saying they lack Skill. But if 1 teacher gets 70% all students can get 70% but if teacher himself gets 60%(Reservation Teacher) then all sudents will be barred to get 60%.... give them(Reseved) jobs but not to Teach....

Hon'ble Sir, During the years 2004-2008, there was a policy for cleanliness of city Patiala known as "Matching Scheme" run by Municipal Corporation, Patiala. During these years, the cleanliness of our area "Dashmesh Nagar" was lookafter by the society named as "Dashmesh Nagar Welfare Society (No. 12) which was duly approved by the Municipal Corporation, Patiala. In this policy, the salary to the "Safai Sewak" was given. It should be again started, please to fulfil goal of "Swachh Bharat".

Where does the Private sector has expertise in deep shaft mining. Most of the mining is done by open pit. Government has to undertake skill development by roping in retired experience miners, mining engineers, create a quasi private body and bring in technology along with experts from foreign countries to make mining profitable and environmental friendly. We all should note that the natural wealth is not property of our generation, but for future generations too.

Skill development in mining sector being crucial and necessary excercise must be undertaken by private sector. Public sector may be able to provide the requiste training but the need is the overall training and allied activities which private scetor can justify in providing completely.
