In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on 27th September 2020, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke about the art of storytelling. He mentioned that the history of stories is as ancient as the human civilization itself. ‘Where there is a soul, there is a story’.

As we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence, Prime Minister urged storytellers across the Nation to share stories of many inspiring events during the entire period of our enslavement. Especially, from 1857 to 1947, stories around every major or minor incident during this period can be introduced to our new generation.

2. भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस 1885 में सुरेन्द्र नाथ बैनर्जी ने भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस की स्थापना की। इसका मुख्य लक्ष्य मध्यमवर्गीय शिक्षित नागरिकों के विचारों को आगे लाना था। प्रारंभिक दौर में इसे ब्रिटिश सरकार के सेफ्टी वॉल्‍व के रूप में देखा गया। 1906 में कलकत्ता में कांग्रेस के अधिवेशन में स्वराज प्राप्ति की घोषणा की गई। उसी के साथ स्वदेशी आंदोलन शुरु हो गया।

1. 1857 का विद्रोह 1857 का विद्रोह मेरठ में सैन्‍य कर्मियों के विरोध से शुरू हुआ था। यह तेजी से कई राज्‍यों में फैल गया। पहली बार ब्रिटिश शासन को सेना की ओर से गंभीर चुनौती मिली। हालांकि ब्रिटिश सरकार इसे एक वर्ष के अंदर दबाने में सफल रही। यह निश्चित रूप से एक ऐसी लोकप्रिय क्रांति थी जिसमें भारतीय शासक, जनसमूह, किसान और नागरिक सेना शामिल थी। लोगों ने इसमें उत्‍साह से भाग लिया। इस विद्रोह को इतिहासकारों ने भारतीय स्‍वतंत्रता का पहला संग्राम कहा।

One of the major event is the first war of indepedence happened at 1857. This also called as the sepoy mutiny by the Britishers. This was the first time that different sections of the society like peasants, artisans etc, came up togetger with the sepoys to fight against the British and throw off the shackles of them. This also shows hindu-muslim unity. This war of indepedence should not be said as sepoy mutiny. It must to be said as First war of Indepedence.

The time has come to take stringent measures and strong decision to protect the boundaries of the nation. To counter land grab mafia by adjacent nations irrespective of their strengths and weaknesses, IPKF (International Peace Keeping Force) should be deployed around the Line of Actual Control, (LAC) , to protect the rights of the nation. हमारे स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में कई वीर सेनानियों ने अपना योगदान दिया| मैं आपको बाजी रावत के बारे में बताता हूँ| वे सबसे कम आयु में शहीद होने वाले सेनानी हैं, जो मात्र १२ वर्ष के थे| वे यात्रिओं को नदी पार करते थे| जब अंग्रेज़ अफसरों ने रावत से उन्हें नदी पार करने को कहा तो रावत ने मना कर दिया, और यह सुनकर उन अंग्रेज़ों ने रावतजी को गोली मार दी| 'जय जवान, जय किसान'
