In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on 27th September 2020, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke about the art of storytelling. He mentioned that the history of stories is as ancient as the human civilization itself. ‘Where there is a soul, there is a story’.

As we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence, Prime Minister urged storytellers across the Nation to share stories of many inspiring events during the entire period of our enslavement. Especially, from 1857 to 1947, stories around every major or minor incident during this period can be introduced to our new generation.

“May this art of storytelling become stronger in the country, become more popularized and easier to imbibe - this is something we must all strive for”: PM Narendra Modi

Do you know of any inspiring event during the 1857-1947 freedom struggle that isn’t so well known? Maybe a long-forgotten hero who did not get as much prominence as he/she deserved? Maybe an incident which played a minor but important role in our struggle? A story you might have heard from a family elder, many years ago?

Tell us, we will feature your story for all Indians!

Share your story in the form of a video, audio clip, picture or essay.

Sir, it is bigtime all secretaries should be revamped like the NITI ayog. In a recent meeting, Except the honorouble minister (power ) , more than a dozen bureacrats above CMD NTPC and CMD BHEL had no accountability nor responsibility. First the government has to prune those overheads. Things have to change.

Sir Kudis to your good governance. Congrats on consolidating 250 odd labour laws to 4 codes. Similar way bureaucracy levels, labour law enforcement officers , offices need to be pruned. While it's in the unfortunate state of affairs now and hopefully BHEL will regain its past glory, I agree with BHEL CMDs version on legacy issues. You name a good public manufacturing unit like BHEL, DRDO, HAL, HMT all had excellent capabilities but legacy and policies made them failures

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose :: Famous with the title Netaji, Subhas Chandra Bose was born in 1897 in Orissa. The Jallianwala bagh Massacre potentially shook him and made him return to India from England in 1921. He joined Indian National Congress and was a part of Civil Disobedience Movement. Since he wasn’t content with Non-Violence method of freedom as promoted by Gandhi Ji, he went to Germany for help and eventually formed Indian National Army (INA) and Azad Hind Government.
