India has a rich legacy of practices and knowledge touching different spheres of life and a scientific heritage traversing various Science & Technology (S&T) domains. The traditional knowledge of India is available in various forms such as classical texts, manuscripts and/or as oral communication that has been passed on over thousands of years. This valuable knowledge is often part of our daily practices as well. Some of the traditional practices are livelihood means of the concerned knowledge holders. Our traditional practices exist in synergy between human needs and nature, often balancing resources and requirements in a local context. However, with time, India’s Traditional Knowledge Systems are eroding rapidly, and the nation has also been witnessing erosion in people’s faith towards our traditional knowledge. A grave concern is the mindless attitude of some to mimic non-Indian cultures and disdain for our traditions. It’s important to recognize that traditional heritage is an integral part of any country’s development and progression. This calls for necessary attention and action from the concerned stakeholders in the country to build further on our scientific inheritance. Only a well-informed and balanced society can drive the advancement of the country.

Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and President, CSIR Society, Shri Narendra Modi, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is spearheading the efforts to collaborate with the relevant partners from across the country and implement the national initiative SVASTIK (Scientifically Validated Societal Traditional Knowledge) for communicating India’s traditional knowledge to the society. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is the nodal organization to implement this national initiative.

The prime mission of the initiative is to conserve scientifically validated traditional practices, and instil confidence in citizens regarding the scientific values of our traditional knowledge/practices.

We invite the suggestions of academicians, researchers, subject-matter experts, students, NGOs, and the public on how to instil confidence in society about our traditional knowledge and practices. This will help us in our mission to inculcate a scientific temper and instil confidence in citizens by stimulating the Science-Scientist-Society connect towards our traditional knowledge and practices.

Union government is trying to promote toilets scheme but the fact is States are not ready with sufficient treatment facilities in cities. The collected sewage flows on ground like a canal pollutes the surface and subsurface water sources. Government should provide budget provision for toilet scheme only after the states are ensuring proper sewage treatment facilities considering 50 years growth of a city. Toilets locations shall be updated on Google, also Way to Toilet signages shall be displayed on roads to guide public. Public power Transformers and power distribution boards shall be placed in buildings to ensure good hygiene/health and safety of the people.(main DB & Sub DB's of streets can be allowed to keep on roads only if the road are having footpath and the area is not falls under water logging site). This kind of redo work losses could have been avoided by having proper planning department, and following Risk assessment and Control procedures(SOP).

Before submitting my opinion, I have read about other 50 submission. So, I shall directly come to points: 1. Let us accept first, Government is not only the one who are thinking in this direction. A lot of start up trying to revamp the same. Its from Ayurveda, beauty and education. Promote and Acquire those entities. 2. Decentralisation of knowledge hub: Give responsibilities to zonal authorities ( DM, SDO, BDO) to identify and encourage those micro organization.. 3. Regulate Doctoral programs. Mandate all PhD persuing candidates to look into real life and not only forest of theoretical hypes. 4. Identify real influencers, not only in digital medium but non -digital field.A Baba is more influencial in rural area than a stand up comedian in urban. The content that the Baba is carrying or providing, that changes society a lot. 5. Training and re-training teachers. Mingle teachers with them with point -1, the startup groups. Let them bring new definition of sharing knowledge.

We are living in a country where anyone can lodge fake complaint against you citing that you have broken lock of your own house and you will have to go to jail. Can you believe that? It is happening just because the person who is making such complaint is a professional criminal and has been sentenced life imprisonment. He has also served jail for 1.5 Years and he is also a dalal/Agent of Thana/Police . They do all these things because we are just a common man and they are professional criminals. These criminals are well aware that despite of the crimes they do, nothing will happen as the court will take 30 to 40 years to make decision. Due to these reasons professional criminals embarrasses common citizens so that they could leave their native place and eventually these criminals would loot their property. Unless and until you start punishing government criminals, these local criminals will never stop. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=19rx-IH0Uq7iLeImo08dx8rSGDuFbg9QV

Public will not have confidence unless and until you take care of the system: 1. Let's say someone is fine work from home. But the situation is so bad that people are doing false allegations and if the person who is doing the false allegations is a dalaal/agent of police/thana, then the employee who was doing work from home will have to go to jail. Because the police will create a fake charge sheet and the guy against whom the chargsheet is filed will not be notified till next one year. 2. In cases like property dispute, State government is the main culprit. if there is stay order on some property then that propery can not be sold, but state government is allowing. no further FIR can be lodged, but still more FIR is being lodged even if there is stay order from high court and civil court. 3. In such cases, anarchy is being created by state government officers just because there is no punishment for them. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=19rx-IH0Uq7iLeImo08dx8rSGDuFbg9QV

India is a country of spiritualism, unity, family bonds, ethics and etiquettes. Since olden days joint family system was in practice in India. Eldest member of the family used to be the head of the family. After him his eldest son would become the next head. Under the able leadership and guidance of the head the family members used to lead a happy life. All the son's, daughters in law and their lived together. Children were taken care by the elders. Women also had the protection in the family structure. If old or diseased person was in the family other members would take care of them. So everyone in the family lived together and enjoyed life. Work was divided among the members. If one member in the family did not earn any income the other members helped him. Financial burden was not felt by the family. But now with the coming of nuclear family lot of problems occur. So the present generation must be made to know the value of traditional joint family system and it's values.
