26th January is a day etched in the rich and glorious history of India.

MyGov invites all the volunteers of the MyGov family to suggest designs as well as themes that can be used by the Government of India to highlight the extent of work that has been done in the last few months. This messaging can vary from one zone to the other (example- different messaging for the North, South, Northeast etc.), thus enabling dissemination of zone-specific information.

Kindly, also share innovative ideas like creative videos, attractive e-posters, Whats App messages, catchy radio jingles on the above themes.

Let us make this Republic Day messaging more impactful and innovative so that it leaves a lasting impression of the celebrations of this momentous day and encourages all Indians to rededicate themselves to the cause of nation-building.

The best inputs will be shared with the Government of India and would be acknowledged by the Prime Minister.

Our greatest achievement since independence has been our DEMOCRACY. We are free to do what we like in or with our life. We grumble. But the fact is that we as citizens have the opportunities to do what we like. A humble chaiwala is our PM. He has proved it. We have opportunity and hope in India. It is up to us. We have to be pro-active. Educate ourselves. Make our country what we want it to be. The biggest opportunity is - together we can shape our country the way we want it to be.

(Contd).. As a citizen of this country I believe in our country becoming a strong and responsible super power. It all starts with our Strong Armed forces. So the more we spend on our Defence the better for our present and future. And I have share this idea with all of my friends and relatives. They all are ready to pay additional few rupees as excise tax at petrol pumps for achieving the goal of a Strong India. We are safe only when our borders are secure and our armed forces are well equipped.

Dear honorable PM Sir, Just want to share my thoughts regarding pooling some additional revenue for our Armed Forces. Lately we have seen a massive drop of international crude prices and this has subsequently reduced petrol/diesel prices at pump. Already your Govt has increased the excise tax on each liter of petrol and diesel to increase revenue. I would suggest to increase it further as crude oil is pegged to stay below $50 for a long time. We can use this additional money for our arms deals.

Dear Prime Minister, i understand that smart city could be possible at the heart of Mumbai. The port land is coming up for your consideration. This can help to create a smart city within Mumbai. itself. Also if you link the Port Land to Navi Mumbai another smart city can be built on the Uran area. The two cities can be named Twin Dweepas. (the twin islands)
